The Mountain Inn Ranch is located on the western side of the Black Hills between Custer, South Dakota and Newcastle, Wyoming with frontage on Highway 16. This western South Dakota setting is on the northerly edge of Elk Mountain joining the Wyoming/South Dakota Stateline. Elk Mountain consists primarily of Black Hills National Forest lands.

There are approximately 298.95 acres. About 116.83 acres of the property is grass and alfalfa meadows which can be grazed or cut for hay. The remainder of the property is primarily gently sloping native pasturelands. The southeast portion of the ranch has more hilly type terrain with scattered ponderosa pine trees. The property has several nice building sites. The elevation is in the range of 4,625 feet above sea level.

-IMPROVEMENTS -

An attractive pole barn was built at the edge of the meadow in 2008. It’s 42’ x 56’ with ten foot sidewalls, sliding doors on the east, one walk door, and an 8’ x 24’ cement pad which could be a good place for a workshop. The electrical line on the property is near the barn.
